A promising Alzheimer’s drug trial failed. Even though it did well in animal models, and reduced tau aggregation in the trial, the higher dose actually caused disease PROGRESSION. A great lesson here that even if the mechanism of action is sound, it does well in animal studies and even phase 1, AND it even does its theorized job correctly, it is still highly risky to take drugs before they’ve been properly trialed. #Brain Journey Network #Science is awesome 🧬🦾🚀🤯 https://jamanetwork.com/j..
