It is like playing whack-a-mole 😒every time regulators try to rein in Big Pharma, they just shift tactics and keep the cycle going. 😤 But there have been a few wins. Remember when public pressure forced the price drop of insulin after years of outrage? Or when legal battles over price-gouging tactics (like Martin Shkreli’s infamous Daraprim case) actually led to consequences?

The problem is, these victories are rare and usually take years—which is exactly what these corporations bank on. So how do we scale up the pressure? Boycotts? Mass petitions? Or do we need an entire movement like what happened with net neutrality to even make a dent?  It all seems futile 😠

Right?! It’s infuriating how the system is designed to protect profits over people. And the worst part? Even when competition authorities do step in, Pharma just finds new loopholes—evergreening patents, pay-for-delay deals, or straight-up lobbying their way out of trouble. 🙄

The article makes a great point, but who actually holds these corporations accountable when they’ve practically bought off regulators? Is there any example where the public has successfully pushed back against this and won? Because right now, it feels like we’re all just stuck paying the price—literally. 😤
