Even though its a no-brainer at this point, I still haven't bought a temperature regulating smart mattress like Chilipad OOLER, BedJet, or the unanimously loved Eight #sleep .  This is largely due to not being home for most of the year, but now that I am, I still haven't pulled the trigger.  Given the price, should I wait for the next gen?  Or do the compounding benefits justify purchasing (and upgrading) immediately to start sleeping better, sooner?

Would love to see some studies too - saying “famous people liked this mattress” doesn’t substitute due diligence. Because we all know that famous (and intelligent) people often get caught up in the hype train, as well.

That said, the endorsement of multiple trusted friends is good enough for me, just debating on whether to wait for the next gen now.
