Population decline primarily is a opportunity cost problem. To maintain growth rate, you need to convince 25 year olds that the thing to do with their life is raise 4 kids. (So that we can end up at a 2+ avg) All things equal, this is a terrible proposition. After all the whole point of progress has been to unlock more humans having more fun. Not to labor over raising large families. Anyways, I also personally don’t think this is a big problem. AI nannies alone will help the most, even without artificial wombs, which will completely solve the issue.

Considering the impacts of care on both psychological development and health outcomes, AI caregivers don’t have the same impact as you know… a parent or loving-human caregiver.
